WHAT IS YOGA?

Yoga literally means “To Yolk” or “Union.” Many believe this to be God, our spirit or the collective consciousness. People usually think of putting your legs behind your head, “downward dog” or “tree pose.” That would be the branch of yoga called Hatha Yoga which uses poses or “asanas.” When done right Yoga creates peace of mind & has amazing health benefits like feeling younger & living longer!

The trick about Hatha Yoga is to make sure you’re opening your chakras & meridians, not closing them by tightening your muscles. Here’s a trick: If you are tightening any muscles to hold a pose, you are only hurting yourself.
